Hamilton’s leading arts and culture magazine, Hamilton City Magazine, has featured Hamilton Literacy Council in its May/June 2023 issue.

The article, which appears in its City Life section, focuses on the work the organization has done in the city over the last 50 years to help empower Hamiltonians with reading, writing and numeracy skills.

The piece, published both in print and online, was written by Hamilton Literacy Council board member Vanessa Green (who is also a feature writer for the magazine). It provides a look back on the organization’s history, how it’s evolved over the last half decade and its future plans for literacy work in the city.

The online version also features stories from the front lines, including interviews with trainers, tutored students and small-group students.
