program is for English-speaking adults who are 19 years old or older
and out of full-time school. Students work on basic reading, writing
and math skills (approximately grade 1 – grade 5 level) and computer skills. Students set their
own personal goals.I want to work on my basic reading and writing skills. What should I do?
1. Call us at 905-529-9907. We will ask some questions over the phone and set up a time for you to come in.
After coming to the Hamilton Literacy Council:
2. Come to a student orientation session which will be an information session lasting approximately 2 hours.
3. You will be matched with a tutor and/or join a small class.

"I can read to my grandchild."
"I got my food handler certificate."
"I can figure out the cost with sales tax."
